It is with deep regret that we announce the death of George Moore.
Dearly loved husband of Shirley Moore.
Much loved father and father-in-law of Karen, Stephen & Maria and Gaye & Simon.
Adored Grandad of Sienna, Dobi and Laveeniah.
George passed away peacefully at Uniting, Griffith
on Monday 9th February 2026 at the age of 86 years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of his life
which is to be held at the Griffith Presbyterian Church
on Wednesday 18th February 2026 commencing at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations are being gratefully received for the Griffith Parkinsons Support Group.

Shirley & Gaye My condolences. George was one of the people I looked up to and aspired to be like. To me he was the epitome of a strong Christian "gentle" man (gentle not weak). He supported me when ever I needed it: in my walk with Jesus, managing 100+ kids at river camp, in prayer, farming help when I worked on a trial site at Goolgowi (thanks Shirl for the bed) or as great counsel when I ran for parliament. George was always a joy to talk to and I loved his quiet wisdom and his beaming smile. I wish I could have been at the funeral to give you all a big hug and my support.
